슬래쉬가 지금 하고 있는 밴드인 SMKC (Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators)가 2014년도에 발매한 <World on Fire>앨범에 수록된 곡이다

가사 내용만 보면 연인이 서로 싸우고 화해하려는 것 같다

보컬인 마일즈가 이 곡의 기타 솔로를 처음 들었을 때 완전 감동받았다고 한다

"'배틀그라운드'의 솔로를 처음 듣고 정말 감동받았어. 엘비스(프로듀서)가 25년 전, 날 가득 채웠던 슬래쉬의 연주를 잘 담아냈어"

 

슬래쉬는 락발라드곡의 솔로를 정말 잘 만들어낸다
